Alien Races Visiting Earth

On, August 20 1977, Voyager 2 space probe lifted off from the launch pad at Cape Canaveral, Florida aboard a Titan-Centaur rocket. Months later, yet another voyager space probe was sent into space to follow the sister probe into the unknown.

Set to begin its never ending journey into the depths of space, the probe was designated to travel collecting and sending data back to earth along its way. Aboard the two probes was the golden record which is basically a message to any form of life it might encounter along the way.

This greeting to aliens was carried by a phonograph record on 12-inch gold-plated copper disks that contained sounds and pictures that were selected to portray the life diversity and culture of planet Earth.

But why would NASA take their time to record and send a message to alien races whose presence had never been officially confirmed?

What are the chances that the probe will encounter other forms of life in its travels? Are there other forms of civilization out there? Are there confirmed cases of alien races visiting Earth?

The Search

Almost 37 years after the first voyager took off and with billions of miles traveled, the spacecraft has gone farther from Earth than any other man made object, recently crossing into the interstellar space (space beyond the solar system). Still, myths over the existence of other forms of life continue to boggle humans with many people torn between believing in the existence of aliens and treating the whole alien life thing as a human creation.

With billions of dollars being spent yearly (Stephen Hawking a world renowned English theoretical physicist and cosmologist donated 100 million dollars to fund search for alien life just this year) scouring space in search of other forms of life, there is no concession that has been reached regarding the claim of alien life forms on Earth.

Alien visitation to our planet is supported by a horde of information from different corners of the world. Astronauts, government officials, former space agency workers, random civilians and many more people from all walks of life have come forward with all sorts of claims that purport to support the evidence of alien visitation on Earth.

Common reports include alien abduction, sighting of mysterious flying objects thought to be alien spacecrafts, and personal interaction with these forms of life. The authenticity of these claims has often been a fuel that drives myth busters in their quest to disqualify these reports as illegitimate and human creations.

The manner and frequency of occurrence of these reports is however alarming and it would be unwise to brush them off as false claims. We humans have only started our search for alien life and with the unimaginably vast universe to scour; we really never know what is waiting to be discovered out there. What could be considered science fiction today could be the reality that is awaiting us in the near future.

In support of the alien visitation claim, there are several famous visitation allegations that beg the question, what if they are true?

1947

In 1947, an unidentified flying object (UFO) crashed in New Mexico, on a ranch. UFO enthusiasts were on alert and all forms of explanations emerged. The ranch owner Razel said he was shocked by the unusual properties of the debris from the craft and thought it did not originate from this planet.

With an official explanation claiming it was a military craft that crashed, many people still believe that there was a cover up on alien visitation. The truth is however hard to call. A long-serving CIA agent spoke out on the 65th anniversary of the Incident to bring to light a hidden CIA file on the UFO craft that crashed – and he says that the Roswell incident actually happened.

Dr Edgar Mitchell, an astronaut in the Apollo 14 mission went live on air claiming that all the time he has been aware of the existence of alien beings that allegedly had almost similar body structures to the humans. Edgar accused the government of withholding the highly confidential information about alien contact on Earth from the people for over 60 years.

“I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we’ve been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena are real,” Dr Mitchell said. “I’ve been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes – we have been visited” he added during a radio interview.

Whether they are true or not, these incidents are not isolated at all. People have claimed that they have been abducted by beings they believe did not originate from our planet.

Bizarrely, some have even claimed to have been subjected to medical procedures during their ordeal. The common fact in UFO sightings and alien interaction with humans remains to be the difficulty in their validation.

The Observatory

The Kepler Space Telescope was launched in 2009 with the primary goal of sieving through the vast expanse of space in search of planets similar to our own planet. In other words, the powerful space observatory was meant to search for those planets that had similar conditions to our own, that could possibly harbor alien life.

The possible candidate planets for this mission are those that exist in the habitable zones also known as goldilocks zones of their parent stars, like our own. The general assumption is that life in the universe evolves in a similar manner as that on earth, and similar planets could as well have the same conditions that could support life just like our own planet.

Could these exoplanets be the homes of the alleged alien life forms on earth that have been claimed to contact us?

The Kepler space observatory is barely six years into its mission and it is doing an impressive job picking off planets found in the habitable zones. Today there are nearly 2000 planets that have been discovered and there is a chance they might contain some form of life.

It will never be easy to conclusively state affirmatively that we are not alone. Every day large volumes of data is collected by the science community in search of truth about the possibility of alien races visiting earth.

We barely know anything about our closest planetary bodies. The unfathomably large universe still withholds so much information from us. Given enough time and driven by the ever advancing technology with human ingenuity, probably one day we will find out the truth about alien life.

Probably we are not isolated and lonely in our own corner in this universe after all.

  1. Hi
This thread is very interesting and I think there will be many theories around this subject till the day a concrete evidence can be provided. My personal opinion would be that if you look at our solar system and the time it took for intelligent life to form here would that behavior not also apply to other systems in the galaxy? There might be exoplanets with micro-organism alive right now but without probe’s or manned crafts visiting them we will never know the exact answer to that. If you look at the top 3 planets that may be habitable in the Kepler region and the distance needed to travel there you can imagine that they can either be empty or already have life on them either evolved further or lower compared to our intelligence. With all that said why would our creator/engineer create such a big universe with us as the only living life on it ?

    1. Hi Brendan,

I completely agree with you but I would also go a step further – I am 100% positive there is life out there but much, much closer than most ‘experts’ think/realize….

  2. I think we’ll keep looking til we find something. Humanity as a whole won’t accept the idea of us being alone in the universe.
