We thought it would make good sense to include a selection of books on The Unexplained for those of you looking into further reading.
We cover a wide variety of topics on the unexplained here but there is only so much we can cram in on a daily basis. Whilst we link to as many publications as possible there are a few great recommendations we have had to overlook…
How To Uncover Your Past Lives – By Ted Andrews
The first of our recommended books on The Unexplained covers the topic of past lives – a subject that used to fascinate me as a school kid.
It is written by award-winning author Ted Andrews and it is quite an astonishing read. Ted was a deeply respected teacher in the metaphysical fields and possessed many spiritual gifts.
The publication looks at the subject of déjà vu and recurring dreams in an effort to provide clues to past lives. I was a little skeptical and dubious of the book when I first came across it but it COMPLETELY won me over by the time I had finished.

The book contains 44 highly effective practical exercises that teaches the reader a host of spiritual and material benefits. There are also 28 psychic case studies included to make up this wonderfully unique self-help book. Perfect for beginners!

By Rich Newman. You’ve sat through countless episodes of rather dubious ghost hunting TV shows and now you feel the urge to get out into the field yourself. You’re in luck – Rich Newman’s manual provides everything you need to know to conduct a successful paranormal investigation.
Author Rich Newman is the founder of the group Paranormal Inc and has so far penned five publications. He has also released articles on paranormal subjects which have showcased in Haunted Times and Paranormal Underground.
The book is perfect for newcomers to the subject as it concentrates on low-tech approaches as well as the more expensive professional technology.
The Encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology
Rosemary Ellen Guiley has written over 50 books on The Unexplained and is vastly experienced in the paranormal and metaphysical fields. The Encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology offers over 400 entries along with illustrations. The encyclopedia covers in detail what many believe are the sources of evil – demons.
Guiley covers key topics including the history of demons ( along with relevant historical cases ), the various types of known demons, modern day demonology and exorcisms. We were also surprised to see she had included information on demons used in movies, plays and books.
The Sirius Mystery: New Scientific Evidence of Alien Contact 5,000 Years Ago
In 1977 Robert Temple released one of the most famous books on The Unexplained – The Sirius Mystery. In 1998 he decided to update the book with 140 pages of new information on his experiences with the subject.
The Sirius Mystery offers convincing evidence that the Egyptian, Sumerian, and Dogon civilizations were founded by aliens from the Sirius star system who are now ready to return.
This version of The Sirius Mystery is updated with 140 pages of new scientific evidence and sold over 10,000 copies within its first two months of release in Britain.
Mexico’s Roswell: The Chihuahua UFO Crash
On August 25, 1974, along the Rio Grande River near the Texas border town of Presidio, a piercing explosion ripped apart a warm summer night. A UFO had been travelling at speeds of over 2,000 miles per hour when it collided with a local airplane.
The tangled wreckage of the UFO and the plane landed in the Mexican desert below sparking off a race against time between two governments to recover alien technology.
In Mexico’s Roswell: The Chihuahua UFO Crash authors Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte bring the real story of 1974 to the public. Interviewing both witnesses and residents in order to piece together the sequence of events surrounding the Coyame crash.
